China-Kazakhstan Cooperation: The LRT Depot Built by China in the Capital Astana Has Been 50% Completed

Kazakh International News Agency, July 22nd. The construction of the important infrastructure - the depot - in the Light Rail Transit (LRT) project in the capital city of Kazakhstan, Astana, has been completed 50%.

According to the City Transportation Systems News Center, the construction of the depot is proceeding in an orderly manner.

The LRT depot is an important facility responsible for the operation, comprehensive maintenance, overall inspection, and storage of locomotives (the front part of the train).

The depot is located near Astana International Airport, covering a total area of 16.84 hectares, with an internal area of 80,000 square meters in the main building of the depot.

The overall facilities include a car wash building, spare parts and equipment warehouse, road maintenance special equipment, and administrative buildings for employee training and professional development.
