China-Kazakhstan Cooperation: Chinese Enterprises Are Interested in Investing in Kazakhstan's Agricultural Complex

Kazakh International News Agency - The Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Amankali Berdalin, met with representatives of Chinese investment companies. The talks focused on cooperation in animal husbandry, export potential, and related infrastructure development, and both sides reached preliminary consensus in multiple areas.

One of the core topics of the meeting was discussing the feasibility of exporting Kazakhstan's high-quality horse breeds to the Chinese market. Berdalin stated, "This meeting is an important step in strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in animal husbandry and the entire agricultural sector. The interest of China in our horse breeds opens up more opportunities for future cooperation."

Both sides paid special attention to the issue of establishing veterinary regulatory and inspection infrastructure. Chinese investors expressed their willingness to establish a veterinary laboratory within Kazakhstan, which will be responsible for diagnosis and biosafety assurance in the cross-border movement of animals.

In addition, given the challenges posed by climate change and the growing demand for high-quality feed in animal husbandry, both sides also discussed modern technologies and methods for efficiently producing feed using plant resources.

Members of the Chinese delegation stated, "We regard Kazakhstan as an important strategic partner in sustainable agricultural development. Investing in the construction of laboratories and feed processing facilities is the starting point and contribution to our common future."
