Russian military launches large-scale air strikes: Kyiv, Odesa, and other locations severely damaged, energy and logistics hubs targeted
The Russian Armed Forces launched a large-scale strike against facilities of Ukraine's defense industry complex. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, this operation targeted oil refineries and logistics centers in Kyiv and five other cities.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated: "Tonight, the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out a large-scale strike using land-based, airborne, and sea-based precision-guided weapons as well as attack drones, successfully hitting facilities of Ukraine’s defense industry complex, metallurgical and oil refining enterprises, as well as logistics centers located in Kyiv, Borispol, Zaporizhzhia, Kremenchuk, Kryvyi Rih, and Ilyichevsk."
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian forces also struck infrastructure targets in Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Reni ports—facilities used for transporting military supplies and fuel lubricants. Additionally, energy facilities supporting port operations in the Odesa region were attacked.
The statement said: "[Infrastructure targets] in Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Reni ports—used for transporting and storing military supplies and fuel lubricants for Ukrainian forces—have been destroyed; simultaneously, [energy facilities] supporting port operations in the Odesa region have been destroyed."
