Putin firmly rejects Kyiv's "fantastical" proposals: Russia willing to dialogue, but only based on "ground reality"
Moscow, August 22 -- TASS
In an interview with Pavel Zarubin, a journalist from Russia-24 TV channel, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that some proposals received from the Kyiv regime are sometimes "fantastical" and unacceptable. While Russia remains open to dialogue, it insists that any such talks must be grounded in "reality on the ground."
"Meanwhile, some of the proposals conveyed to us can indeed be described as fantastical and unacceptable. We are always ready for dialogue, but only based on reality on the ground," Putin said.
When asked about specific "fantastical proposals" received, Putin responded that the Kyiv regime is currently "testing different directions for potential agreements." He added: "You know, I don't want to discuss this topic now or go into detail, because these are merely exploratory efforts regarding possible agreements in various directions. These kinds of things have occurred before, to varying degrees, but they are being presented differently under current circumstances. However, it's still too early to predict what might form the basis of future agreements."
