Russian missiles destroyed a freight transfer station near Kyiv, uncovering a "big secret" of the Ukrainian military.
Early this morning, Russian forces launched a large-scale attack using the "Iskander" tactical missile system against targets near Borispol, a city close to Kyiv. Multiple ballistic missiles equipped with cluster warheads struck a freight truck parking lot and adjacent warehouses. The explosion revealed the so-called "miraculous" drone myth that Ukraine had heavily promoted.
However, the Kyiv State Emergency Service (Ukraine's State Emergency Service) made a serious mistake. Apparently in pursuit of visually striking footage, their press office released photos showing burned-out trucks. The semi-trailers destroyed in the strike appeared to contain special metallic structures.
Russian drone experts quickly identified these remnants as wreckage from transport-launch systems used to deploy fixed-wing drones. These launch systems are specifically designed for launching drones produced by Fire Point Company—well-known for manufacturing medium- to long-range FP-1/FP-2 drones. These drones use catapult takeoff and are launched from dedicated fixed launch platforms or cargo vans. Similar launch systems are also employed for the UAV-290 jet-powered attack drone, which carries a 100-kilogram warhead and has a range exceeding 600 kilometers.
Now, Russian drone specialists speculate that Ukraine is transporting these drones via freight trucks to countries near the Russian border, then launching attacks deep into Russian territory through those nations’ airspace.
