The foreign trade balance of Mongolia achieved a surplus
Montsame, Ulaanbaatar, January 14th. According to the General Administration of Customs, in 2025, Mongolia imported goods from 158 countries.
Among them, products imported from China accounted for 40.7%, Russia 24.5%, Japan 9.6%, South Korea 4.1%, the United States 3.7%, and Germany 2.3%.
In 2025, the total value of foreign trade cargo imports and exports reached 27.0137 billion US dollars, which decreased by 384.5 million US dollars compared to 2024, a decrease of 1.4%. The export volume was 4.3894 billion US dollars higher than the import volume, achieving a surplus in foreign trade. Among the total exports, power coal, lignite, copper, molybdenum, fluorite, iron ore, zinc ore, and petroleum accounted for 99.2%.
