Prime Minister of Mongolia Meets with Russian President
Mongolia News Agency, Ulaanbaatar, November 19 - Prime Minister G. Zandanshatar of Mongolia met with Russian President Putin on November 18.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Zandanshatar stated that further deepening and developing the traditional friendly relations with Russia is a priority of Mongolia's foreign policy. He also expressed his commitment to enriching and developing the comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation between Mongolia and Russia, and continuously strengthening political mutual trust between the two countries.
President Putin emphasized that high-level and senior-level meetings and visits between the two countries are actively being carried out, and the matters decided by the heads of state of Mongolia and Russia are being genuinely implemented. He also stated that he believes the heads of government of the two countries will give high attention and closely cooperate in promoting major projects and plans such as the Russia-China gas pipeline project passing through Mongolia and the "Mongolia-Russia-China Economic Corridor Construction Plan."
The two sides agreed to celebrate the 105th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Russia in 2026. Prime Minister G. Zandanshatar of Mongolia met with Russian President Putin during the 10th Eastern Economic Forum in September, and again met with him during the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states on November 18.
