Key Minerals in Mongolia's Gobi: Mongolia to Strengthen Cooperation with South Korea in Critical Mineral Sector
Mongolnews, Ulaanbaatar, April 21 — On April 21, Mongolian Ambassador S. Sukhbaatar met with Dr. Kwon Ee-joon, President of the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) in Daejeon, South Korea, exchanging in-depth views on projects and plans aimed at operationalizing the "Joint Research Center for Rare Metals" established in Mongolia.
The two sides agreed to hold a "Critical Minerals" business meeting in late May this year to concretely advance cooperation in this field. Mr. Jeon Ho-sik (translated name), project leader of the "Mongolia-South Korea Joint Research Center for Rare Metals," and Mr. Kang Hyun-chul (translated name), Head of International Cooperation Department at KIGAM, attended the meeting.
