Direct flights will be launched between Kazakhstan and Mongolia

Agency News: On the 21st, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumanalin stated at the Kazakhstan-Mongolia Business Forum that direct flights will be established between the two countries.

Zhumanalin said that transportation between the two nations is developing effectively.

"A key factor for sustainable global trade growth lies in strengthening mutual transport connections. Transport cooperation between our countries is rapidly advancing through the International Transport Route across the Caspian Sea. Together with the global Belt and Road Initiative, this route will provide greater support for unlocking the potential of both north-south and east-west corridors," he said.

The deputy prime minister also noted that new air routes between the two countries are about to launch.

"Currently, direct flights have already been launched between Almaty and Ulaanbaatar. The Astana-Ulaanbaatar route is also planned to launch direct flights in the near future. This move will inject new vitality into economic, cultural, and tourism ties between our two nations," he said.

In addition, during talks between the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Mongolia, both sides reached an agreement on launching direct flights between Ushkemen and Bayan-Ölgii.

"Restoring air connectivity is crucial. The Almaty-Ulaanbaatar route has already resumed regular flights. Soon, flights from Astana to Ulaanbaatar will also be launched. Moreover, during this visit, we reached a specific agreement on launching the Ushkemen-Bayan-Ölgii route. This important decision will undoubtedly further strengthen our cooperation and promote the flourishing development of regional relations," said President Tokayev.

In his speech, President Tokayev took the opportunity to extend gratitude to the President of Mongolia and all Mongolian citizens involved in this field.
