US media: After overthrowing Maduro's government in January this year, the US took over Venezuela's oil industry and has so far earned approximately $8 billion from oil exports. However, it has only pledged $300 million in aid for the country's earthquake in June, dispatched around 900 military personnel, and has not halted the deportation of Venezuelans.

In contrast, during the 2010 Haiti earthquake, the US provided over $3 billion in aid, deployed 7,000 soldiers, and suspended deportations of Haitians.
