Trump stated that U.S. revenue from Venezuela is 28 times the cost of military operations in Venezuela.

U.S. President Trump said that income generated from selling millions of barrels of oil shipped out of Venezuela has already exceeded the cost of a military operation in the country in January 2026 by more than 28 times.

At the beginning of January, Washington launched air strikes on Caracas with the aim of capturing Venezuelan President Maduro and his wife. Subsequently, Trump announced plans to take control of Venezuela’s oil and profit from its sale.

Speaking to supporters in Pennsylvania, Trump said: “We are now making a lot of money from Venezuela. We spent just 48 minutes to win that war. We have fully recouped the cost of the war, achieving a return of over 28 times—and even more. At least 28 times. We’ve recovered all military expenditures because we’ve shipped millions of barrels of oil out of there.”
