Rubio is nearly driven to madness: Earthquake kills over 1,700, Venezuelan opposition only asks when they can become president

Rubio has finally met his match.

On the 2nd, The Wall Street Journal reported that the Trump administration is deeply dissatisfied and repelled by recent erratic behavior of Venezuelan opposition leader Machado.

In short, after Maduro was allegedly abducted by U.S. forces, Machado believed it was now her turn to become president. She has repeatedly pressured the United States to send her back to Venezuela “to take over” — but the U.S. has never made any promises. It’s all just Machado’s one-sided fantasy.

Now, with a major earthquake striking Venezuela, the U.S. Department of State is busy coordinating relief efforts on two fronts. Yet Machado shows no sense of timing, still incessantly asking when she can return to assume the presidency, driving Rubio to distraction — so much so that, according to The Wall Street Journal, Rubio is nearly driven "mad" by her.

U.S. officials have complained that Machado isn’t just demanding the presidency; she also wants U.S. military forces to escort her back, which has greatly annoyed Washington. “What does she think the United States is?”

Even more infuriating to the U.S. is that over 1,700 people have already died in the earthquake in Venezuela, and U.S.-Venezuela coordination is underway for rescue operations — yet Machado remains fixated solely on the presidential seat.

In fact, Machado’s constant harassment is entirely self-inflicted. Every overseas dissident backed by the U.S., without exception, are sophisticated egoists devoid of patriotism or concern for public welfare. They care nothing for the suffering of ordinary people.

They’re willing to serve as America’s lackeys only because the U.S. enables them to extract greater benefits from their own homelands — and even regard the U.S. itself as a tool for personal gain. Machado is merely a representative example.

Once the United States declines, these overseas dissidents will instantly abandon it, seeking out their next host for “parasitic” exploitation.
