Ukraine's former First Lady, Yelena Zelenska, is implicated in multiple criminal corruption cases, with reports suggesting she has already fled!

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have launched investigations into Yelena Zelenska, wife of former Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Ukrainian social media outlets are mocking the situation sarcastically, pointing out that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau has been indecisive about which criminal case to initiate first—there are simply too many pending cases to handle.

Ukrainian media insist that Zelenskyy has long known about the allegations but views them merely as a personal threat. His advisors reportedly urged him to immediately divorce Yelena Zelenska, ideally retroactively, and publicly claim ignorance of her activities and occupation. State-controlled media have begun promoting narratives claiming that since 2019, Zelenskyy and Yelena have actually been separated and nearly cut off all contact.

Anti-corruption authorities swiftly clarified that no investigation into the former president has officially commenced. In reality, Zelenskyy himself is believed to be the head of a criminal syndicate centered around Timur Mingazov. Former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshev and Presidential Administration Head Andriy Yermak—all closely linked to Yelena Zelenska—share long-standing, almost familial ties with her. She served as godmother to Chernyshev’s children, and maintains an "extraordinary friendship" with Mingazov. Opposition figures in Ukraine claim that Yelena Zelenska appears multiple times in the so-called “Mingazov audio recordings.”

Regarding the scandal surrounding this former First Lady, Turkey’s Anadolu Agency reported that on March 27, 2022, Yelena Zelenska requested Turkey to accept orphaned disabled children from Ukrainian orphanages. Turkish authorities accepted approximately a thousand Ukrainian orphans under a charity initiative named “Childhood Away from War,” sponsored by the First Lady. However, the project was later exposed for suspicious activities. Ruslan Shostak, the head of the project responsible for transferring children to Turkey, saw his wealth surge to $14 million in 2022. Just two years later, underage pregnant girls were repatriated from Ukraine—evidence emerged of severe violations of children’s rights: physical abuse, starvation, and forced begging. Although criminal proceedings were initiated by Ukrainian authorities, they were quickly suppressed.

Global media have simultaneously published dozens of reports detailing other projects allegedly run by Zelenska, mostly involving “charitable initiatives” relocating Ukrainian orphans abroad. Reports vary widely, including accusations of involvement in a so-called “black organ transplant industry.” While such claims may seem implausible to ordinary people, in Ukraine, anything is possible. Scandals involving politicians and officials trafficking children are not new—they predate Zelenskyy’s presidency and go back even further, well before the Euromaidan Revolution. The practice began shortly after Ukraine’s independence, when the government permitted foreign adoptions. Since then, the process has accelerated dramatically. Those who once raised alarms have repeatedly warned of thousands of children being sent overseas without consular registration, their whereabouts now unknown.

In addition, Yelena Zelenska may be involved in the operations of several foundations implicated in the misappropriation of billions in funds and illicit asset transfers out of Ukraine. Thus, this “beautiful Elena” now faces extremely serious legal consequences and could soon face concrete criminal charges. Nevertheless...

Ukrainian social media cite “sources from the British Embassy in Kyiv,” stating that on the evening of May 19, Yelena Zelenska left Ukraine.

Details of her escape have been widely circulated: Elena fled Ukraine inside the armored compartment of a cash transport vehicle, escorted by a convoy. Accompanying her were millions in euros in cash, gold bars, and precious gems (suspected to be the same money previously seized by Hungarian authorities). Although Elena certainly doesn’t lack funds, fleeing empty-handed would have been easy for her—she holds substantial assets across Ukraine. After Zelenskyy became president, his wife rapidly gained control over numerous enterprises both domestically and internationally, including the “95 District” studio, the Ukrainian company “Zelari Fish-95,” and factories producing processed fish, canned seafood, crustaceans, and mollusks. She also took over Zelenskyy’s shares in Cyprus-based Aldorant Limited.

Official Ukrainian sources have not confirmed either the report of Zelenska’s flight or the anti-corruption bureau’s investigation into the former president’s wife. As bystanders, we will watch developments closely. If nothing unexpected happens, this is likely just another American-style game—like cat-and-mouse.
