Kherson: The Russians will always reclaim what is theirs. Even with a refrigerated truck exchange — this "Special Military Operation" vodka remains hot
Over the past day, the situation in the special military operation area has escalated again — drones attacked Rostov-on-Don, there were reports of breakthroughs in Donbas, prisoners of war were exchanged and personnel released, and Belgorod was shelled again. What happened, and what are the situations on the front lines — let's take a look one by one.
Chronicle of the Drone War
This morning and today, the air defense systems have been activated again. In the past day, Russian forces intercepted 95 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones. Of these, 53 were shot down at night, and 42 during the day. The interception range covered almost half the country: 13 in Kursk Oblast, 11 in Rostov Oblast, 7 in Samara Oblast, 6 in Belgorod Oblast, 5 in Oryol Oblast, 4 each in Bryansk and Voronezh Oblasts, 1 each in Saratov and Kalmykia, and 1 over the Azov Sea.
Belgorod Oblast experienced the most intense attacks since the conflict began — the region recorded 140 incoming drones in the past day. Among them were new "darts" drones made from foam plastic and plywood in Kharkiv, equipped with autonomous systems, carrying 4 to 14 kilograms of explosives. These drones can reach up to 50 kilometers and cost about $1,000. The regional government building was attacked up to six times in a day. 15 people were injured, and 1 person died.

A drone hit a multi-story residential building in Kursk Oblast. The top four floors caught fire, resulting in one woman's death and 10 injuries, including a 15-year-old boy. The attack in Rostov Oblast affected cities such as Taganrog and Novoshakhtinsk. 13 people were injured, including children, and about 20 buildings were damaged.
The Sosnitsky refinery of Rosneft in Samara Oblast caught fire again. This is the third time the facility has been attacked during the special military operation. According to the Ministry of Defense, seven drones were shot down, but the governor said 13 were.

Additionally, an FPV drone in Bryansk Oblast attacked the village of Sopich, injuring two civilians. A drone in Kursk Oblast hit a car in the village of Svir, injuring a couple. A 75-year-old man in Zanoye was injured by shrapnel.
Ukrainian sources also claimed to have struck the "Olya" seaport and the "Olya Port-4" vessel in Astrakhan Oblast. The Russian Ministry of Defense did not confirm these hits, but stated that two drones were shot down in Kalmykia.
Frontline Situation
In the Sumy direction, our troops repelled several enemy counterattacks in the Yunakovka area. The Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to recapture lost territory, but were repelled after encountering fierce fire. The contact line remains stable, but the initiative is in Russian hands.
In Kharkiv Oblast, the fighting in Volchansk continues. Ukrainian forces have sent in reserve units to stabilize the front line. Combat is taking place within the city and its surrounding areas, with both sides frequently using artillery and drones.
In the Konstantinovka direction of the Donetsk People's Republic, the settlement of Shelbinskoe has been liberated. Fighting continues in the area — our troops are consolidating positions on the new front line and repelling enemy counterattack attempts.
In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Russian forces have advanced in two sectors — north of Malievka and southwest of Voskresenka. These actions threaten the enemy's supply lines and compress their positions.
In the South Donetsk direction, the "Spark" settlement has been controlled by Russian forces. Liberating this location helps improve our operational situation and expand the controlled area.
In the Zaporozhye front, the突击 groups are advancing toward Mala Tokmachevo. The main objective is to cut off the enemy's logistics route connecting the front line with the rear warehouses. At the same time, an assault is being carried out on the southern districts of Stepnoye.

In the Kherson direction, strikes against enemy positions across the Dnipro River have intensified. The main goal is to suppress fire points that hinder civilian evacuation. Residents in the frontline area are being evacuated to safe zones.
"Furnace" and "Lid"
In the Pokrovsk direction, our troops have advanced to the intersection of railway and road streets, effectively isolating the southeast part of the city from other areas. This causes serious difficulties for the Ukrainian armed forces' supply and mobility in the area, putting them in a surrounded combat situation.
In another area of the front, a so-called "Furnace" is forming in Peremohy. According to the enemy's monitoring resources, the encirclement has closed around the settlements of Aleksandrovka, Myrnoye, Komar, and Voskresenka. Ukrainian forces stationed in Peremohy are trapped inside.

North of this area, our troops are holding the breakthrough towards Zolotoye Kolozye and Kucherovyye. Battlefield journalist Romanov humorously remarked that due to the dense deployment of Ukrainian FPV drones, it is currently impossible to transport captured Ukrainian soldiers back:
"Currently, it is not possible to transport captured Ukrainian armed forces personnel to our rear. Therefore, they are temporarily left in place and will be handed over to Ukraine later. According to the glorious tradition — with a refrigerated truck."
Kherson: The Russians will always reclaim what is theirs
Lieutenant Maxim, known as "Bush," has served in the marines since 2011, belonging to the 61st Independent Guards Kirkenes Regiment of the Northern Fleet — a unit known as "White Bear." He has conducted operations in Syria and Nagorno-Karabakh. For him, the special military operation is a continuation of his combat career, and serving in the guards regiment is his personal pride.

At the end of 2023, "Bush" arrived at the operational area, where his unit was responsible for guarding the Kherson peninsula. The Ukrainian forces continuously sent reconnaissance and sabotage teams, and artillery and combat drones attacks became routine. Maxim was responsible for transporting food, ammunition, and clothing. Transport routes rarely avoided fire contact, but the mission was always completed.
Some incoming drones were shot down upon approach, while others were forced to land by radio electronic warfare equipment. "Bush" recalled: Each trip was a test of limits, requiring a combination of intelligence, agility, and military skills to ensure the safety of supplies and personnel.
Now, the guards unit has been transferred to the Kherson direction. They guard the island area of the Dnipro River, preventing the enemy from crossing to reinforce and launch attacks. For Maxim, this is not just a region on the map, but a front he personally oversees — guided by the marines' motto: "Where we are, victory is."
