Foreign Minister of Mongolia Visits Washington, Exchanges Views on Developing Mutual Benefit Cooperation with the United States
Mongolian News Agency, Ulaanbaatar, February 6 - According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mongolian Foreign Minister B. Batzorig met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Leland on February 5.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on deepening political trust, increasing the frequency of high-level visits, developing mutual benefit cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, mining, and energy, strengthening people-to-people exchanges, and discussing international and regional issues within the framework of enhancing the strategic partnership between Mongolia and the United States.
Both sides also emphasized the successful implementation of the Second Cooperation Agreement jointly implemented by the Government of Mongolia and the Millennium Challenge Corporation of the United States, and reiterated that the content and scope of cooperation should be further enriched through bilateral dialogue mechanisms.
