Mongolia has ordered that the progress of the cross-border railway project for mineral transportation through the Chinese border must reach 70% by 2026.
TAM, Ulaanbaatar, January 30 - State Great Khural member and Minister of Transportation B. Dergelseren signed and approved the 2026 performance plan for institutions under the transportation sector on January 29.
The "Tavan Tolgoi Railway" company plans to implement a total of 34 specific measures around seven goals in 2026. These include:
Advancing the construction progress of the cross-border railway project between Gashuunsuhait and Ganqibatu border to 70%;
Addressing urgent issues faced by infrastructure development projects already implemented by the company, reviewing and completing contracts;
Ensuring the implementation of the Environmental Law and related regulations;
Creating safe work positions and working environments according to the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Law and relevant standards, etc.
Minister of Transportation B. Dergelseren emphasized that leaders of all affiliated units should strengthen their sense of responsibility and actively promote the implementation of all work under the framework of Mongolia's 2025-2030 Five-Year Action Plan with a high sense of responsibility and proactive attitude.
