Mongolia exports more than 2 million tons of coal in January
Montsame, Ulaanbaatar, February 2nd. The coal of the "Erdentsavkhai Toulgu" company sold under the condition of "delivering to the border port" has exceeded 2 million tons in monthly exports.
The company announced that according to a government decision, starting from February 2023, sales are conducted through the exchange with the condition of "delivering coal to the neighboring country's border port". Since its launch, as of January this year, the monthly export value of coal reached 137.8 million USD, with an export volume of 204 thousand tons, which increased by 58,760 tons compared to the previous record high.
Thus, the monthly coal export volume of the "Erdentsavkhai Toulgu" company under the condition of "delivering to the neighboring country's border port" has exceeded the quantity of coal sold through long-term contracts for the first time.
