NVIDIA is once again under investigation. In the context of great power rivalry, there are various factors of uncertainty. If one believes that NVIDIA can freely dump chips into China, not only gaining substantial revenue but also suppressing China's artificial intelligence chips, that must be a wrong judgment. I have two basic judgments:
1. In the field of artificial intelligence, China will definitely not allow itself to be in an unsafe position. No matter how difficult or uncomfortable it may be, we must endure it. Some universities and research institutions cannot do the arithmetic units and system transformations themselves, yet they keep shouting that they must use NVIDIA chips. This is helping the enemy during wartime. No matter how hard it is, China must endure it and overcome this obstacle.
2. There is no shortage of chips for China's artificial intelligence. Without foreign chips, we would not be able to do artificial intelligence. Especially now, the main requirement is inference cards, and the requirements for chips are not so high. We can use our own chips to make up for it.
Under such a major situation, all of NVIDIA's market operations will eventually fail to withstand the momentum of great power rivalry. Both sides will treat it as a pawn. This play still has a long way to go.
