China's New Countermeasures!
Singapore's Straits Times reported on the evening of September 15: "As China and the United States held trade negotiations in Madrid, Spain, the Chinese authorities stated on Monday that NVIDIA violated the anti-monopoly law and decided to further investigate this American chip giant. This means that after being investigated last December, there is now new developments in the related investigation."
Just before the fourth round of U.S.-China trade negotiations, the U.S. suddenly added 24 Chinese entities to the "Export Control List." In response, China immediately launched precise countermeasures: publicly initiating an investigation into U.S. measures in the integrated circuit field for discrimination, while also launching an anti-dumping investigation on relevant analog chips from the United States. Now, adding more investigations against NVIDIA, forming a series of countermeasures.
This series of actions clearly convey China's position: it will not compromise and will stand firm against the U.S.'s bullying behavior. Notably, NVIDIA's products are accused of having backdoors in terms of security issues. If the investigation is confirmed, it may lose its vast Chinese market, which would undoubtedly create space for domestic Chinese chip companies.
