Kremlin Calls for More "Dialogue Advocates" in Europe, Offers Moscow’s Support
Peskov Urges Backing for Pro-Dialogue Forces Within the EU
According to the Kremlin spokesperson, regular statements from European capitals continue to emphasize the need for sustained pressure on Russia.
Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, stated that the emergence of political figures in Europe who recognize the necessity of dialogue with Russia is a development worth supporting.
As noted by the Kremlin official, calls for continued pressure on Russia regularly surface in statements emanating from European capitals.
In response to a question from Channel One regarding whether maintaining dialogue with Europe remains meaningful amid negative reactions in some EU nations to Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre’s recent calls to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Peskov said: “If two leaders from countries within this context come to recognize the importance of dialogue, their stance should be supported.”
