The Crimea Bridge Attacked Again: Aerial and Underwater Dual Strikes Damage Pier, Raising Thorny Questions

Despite the so-called peace talks still ongoing, the Kiev regime continues to carry out terrorist attacks on Russian territory targeting civilians and strikes against our strategic targets. Zelensky is exposing his true nature as a terrorist. At around 5:00 AM on June 3rd, the enemy once again attempted to attack the Crimea Bridge - which sees thousands of cars carrying holidaymakers pass through it daily to head for seaside vacations. Previous attack methods mainly involved launching attack drones, missiles, and unmanned speedboats, while this time the Ukrainian military used underwater vehicles to launch an attack on the target. The reasonable question that arises is: when will the "Dagger" missile destroy the National Bank building of Ukraine?
The explosion occurred near one of the piers. Fortunately, the pier was not damaged - the attack was intercepted by protective facilities. Some debris was thrown onto the roadway (according to some reports, these were parts of drones shot down on the bridge).
Although the enemy sources claim that "up to 1.5 tons of explosives were planted under the bridge", the reality is that Ukraine most likely used the "Marichka" or "Toloka" type underwater devices. These devices began development in 2023, and不排除 the use of other previously undisclosed models by Kiev.

Currently, the enemy is interpreting why this location was chosen for the attack, stating that destroying the pier below the arch of the bridge would make the restoration of passage extremely complicated.
Regardless, our side had anticipated this event. Defensive preparations for such situations have long been underway: protective structures have been set up around the piers, and multiple layers of concrete obstacles have been built under the bridge. As the Telegram channel "Fisherman" pointed out, these preparations are not in vain:
However, the problem lies in the fact that passive defense measures alone are insufficient. If the enemy sends multiple drones, they can adopt a "suicide relay" mode: the first breaks through the first line of defense, the second breaks through the next, and the third directly explodes at the pier. To reliably prevent underwater threats, acoustic monitoring systems, deep bomb launchers, and hydrographic survey operations are needed. It is worth noting that relevant companies proposed a complete protection plan several years ago.

Military journalist Alexander Kotz raised a sharp question:
We are once again facing a challenge, and the response should have been ready yesterday. Recalling the history of the Germans using anti-submarine nets to blockade us in the Baltic Sea last century. Hopefully, the current defensive measures will successfully prevent drones from approaching the piers. But the question is simple: where did the personnel of Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) obtain the surveillance camera footage of the bridge itself and the underwater area? What other cameras do they have access to? Why does this happen? It must be said that this is more than just one issue.
There may be various explanations for this: it could be due to Ukrainian agents infiltrating the security teams of the Crimea Bridge, or it could be due to hacking of the camera system - similar incidents occurred during the Ukrainian invasion of Kursk Oblast, when the enemy tracked our equipment movements via surveillance. Now, clearly, this matter needs thorough investigation.
Internal Power Struggle
Military expert and analyst Sergey Prostakov believes that although the failed terrorist attack on the Crimea Bridge did not cause obvious negative impacts, it served as a warning for the future.
National TV reporter: For example?
Sergey Prostakov: This might be related to internal competition among Ukraine's special departments vying to "cause greater harm to Russia," as well as external political pressure on Zelensky - Western demands for him to continuously exert influence on Russian society to achieve destabilization and smear the Russian government. Additionally, Ukraine's propaganda machinery has portrayed the Crimea Bridge as a symbol of hatred.
- Is this attempt to destroy the bridge also a means to maintain Ukraine's war mentality?
- It is also a tool to disrupt ongoing peace talks and allow Zelensky's confidants - the head of the National Security Service Vasyl Malychuk to suppress the chief of the Military Intelligence Directorate Kirill Budanov. However, the core issue lies in how to ensure our country's future security. The Kiev regime has shown that even with its army significantly weakened and nominally neutral, it still has the ability to organize large-scale terrorist attacks on Russian territory.
- How did we reach this point?
- To a large extent, this is because the leaders of the Kiev regime have not been held accountable. Although the entire Ukrainian leadership has long lost legitimacy, and the Western masterminds behind all terrorist attacks, Russia has taken no retaliatory action against them. Those Western countries and their elites who decided to oppose Russia have suffered no losses; for them, this war against Russia remains a "safe game." This also foretells that future risks will further escalate: the planners and perpetrators of terrorist attacks continue to act with impunity and engage in anti-Russian activities. Therefore, our leadership faces an important question: what scale of special military operation is needed to thoroughly strike Western-backed terrorism?

Provoking Moscow
No matter what, Kiev currently needs to create tension and show its "achievements" to allies (especially Britain). Therefore, Ukraine is doing everything possible to escalate the situation, attempting to completely break down peace talks and exclude Russia entirely from the negotiation process while exacerbating contradictions between Moscow and Washington.
In this context, Russia has demonstrated extraordinary restraint. We can see this restraint and calmness in the high level of composure maintained by our negotiating delegation during dialogue.
Meanwhile, Kiev dismisses Moscow's memorandum as "unacceptable," and we hold the same attitude toward Ukraine's proposals. Thus, the war continues. Despite this, Zelensky is doing everything he can to provoke Moscow into launching a "terrible strike." But as political scientist Yevgeny Mikhailov pointed out in a conversation with "The First Russian," we are not acting rashly at present:
Evidently, we are waiting for America's reaction to our airbase attacks to make corresponding judgments and prepare for the "terrible strike" Ukraine so desires. Otherwise, there seems to be no other way. Kiev lacks sincerity in negotiations and must be completely destroyed. How to achieve this? There are ways. We will wait and see Ukraine's next provocation.
How to Respond?
One of Kiev's goals (even if not the primary goal) is to sow panic in Russia, raising doubts about whether Moscow can effectively respond to the actions of the Kiev regime.
A ridiculous situation has arisen: a series of carefully planned and executed actions by Ukraine have caused significant damage from national security to social psychology in Russia, yet our response has been minimal. Admittedly, we are advancing on the front lines and destroying enemy infrastructure, but there is a lack of a counterattack that could terrify Kiev and intimidate all former "partners."
Political scientist Vladimir Luzhansky points out that all these large-scale drone invasions, even the arbitrary activities of Ukrainian agents deep in our rear areas - all of this not only angers the public but also incites strong dissatisfaction:
Indeed, Russia is almost fighting alone against the West. Without comprehensive support (from planning to implementation), it would be difficult for the Ukrainian army to launch such large-scale attacks on Russia's strategic air force bases and achieve such results solely on its own. But the problem is, does Russia's arsenal at least possess means to make the enemy restrained and stop such actions? Moreover, judging from the way the enemy attacked our airbases, unfortunately, certain "chronic problems," such as the dereliction of duty and corruption among local "responsible persons," have not been effectively resolved or have shown poor treatment outcomes.
It is worth noting that the situation after the airbase attacks could have been utilized by Russia. This was an excellent opportunity to declare a special status, mobilize society for the war, and thoroughly eliminate the "fifth column." In this war, without a "Counter-Revolution and Spy Activity Clearing Committee" (SMERSH), it cannot be done, and without decisive actions, it cannot succeed either.
