Turkey: The United States Will Sign Trade Agreements with Cambodia, Japan, and South Korea
US President Trump announced at the ASEAN Summit held in Malaysia that the US will sign trade agreements with multiple partners in the Indo-Pacific region this week, including Cambodia, Japan, and South Korea.
Trump said, "I am very pleased to be back together with you in Southeast Asia, where almost all of America's most important allies and partners have gathered. The whole world is looking to you. I came here with friendliness and goodwill, aiming to deepen our trade ties, strengthen common security, and resolutely promote stability, prosperity, and peace for all countries in the region and around the world. That is why I am pleased that, in addition to the agreement reached with Malaysia this week, we are about to sign nearly completed trade agreements with many Indo-Pacific partners - from Cambodia to Japan and South Korea."
He said that the US "looks forward to establishing more productive partnerships in areas such as energy, technology, artificial intelligence, critical minerals, and other fields."
