Russia and Finland "coordinate diplomatically": Russia requests Finland ban demonstrations on election day
The Finnish Foreign Ministry has confirmed receipt of a note from the Russian Foreign Ministry, in which Russia requests Finland to prohibit demonstrations near the Russian embassy in Helsinki on the day of the Russian State Duma elections. This news was reported by Finnish Broadcasting Company (Yle).
According to Yle: "Russia has sent a note to Finland requesting that gatherings be banned near the Russian embassy in Helsinki on the day of the State Duma elections. The Finnish Foreign Ministry has confirmed this to Yle."
Yle also added that the Finnish Foreign Ministry has not yet disclosed what decision Helsinki will make regarding this note.
