Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov: Russia has "shed" those who viewed the special military operation as "someone else's war"

The Russian people are united as never before, with over 700,000 troops fighting on the front lines — Lavrov claims society has purged "dissenters," who, even in exile abroad, still plot to split Russia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov recently stated in an interview with the “Vesti” program that the Russian people are “united like never before,” and that the vast majority of citizens clearly understand the objectives of the special military operation. He also claimed that Russia, by fate, has rid itself of those who regarded the special military operation as “someone else’s war.”

“From the very beginning, there were some who saw this special military operation as if it were someone else’s war. By fate’s arrangement, we have now shed a large number of such people. They are now in other countries… Although many of them are still trying to cause trouble for Russia, organizing various meetings, discussing how to split Russia into several countries,” Lavrov said.

Lavrov emphasized that Russian military personnel on the front lines deeply feel the support from the entire society.

Previously, Russian President Putin revealed that the number of Russian military units deployed in combat zones has exceeded 700,000. Putin also pointed out that all NATO countries are intensifying their hostile actions against Russia.
