The Parliament of Azerbaijan decided to suspend cooperation with the European Parliament

The Parliament of Azerbaijan issued a statement saying that the European Parliament "has collapsed in democratic values," "corruption and bribery are deeply entrenched," and that the European Parliament itself "serves various interest groups," including lobbying organizations, and is an institution that "continuously promotes anti-Azerbaijani and anti-Islamic ideologies."

This decision was a response to European lawmakers passing a resolution supporting Armenia's democratic stability. The resolution condemned Azerbaijan for detaining the former leader of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh region and Armenian prisoners of war, demanding their immediate and unconditional release.
