Mongolia's total foreign trade reached 14.2 billion USD, with an increase and decrease in copper and coal exports
Mongolian News Agency, Ulaanbaatar, August 12th - Mongolia conducted trade activities with 152 countries in the first 7 months of this year, and its total foreign trade reached 14.2 billion USD.
Among them, exports reached 7.8 billion USD, imports reached 6.5 billion USD, achieving a trade surplus of 1.3 billion USD.
Total trade volume decreased by 1.4 billion USD compared to last year, exports decreased by 1.5 billion USD, the trade surplus decreased by 1.6 billion USD, while imports increased by 68.9 million USD.
The decrease in exports was mainly affected by the following products: coal decreased by 2.4 billion USD, washed cashmere decreased by 200.2 million USD, unprocessed petroleum decreased by 35.5 million USD, mutton and goat meat decreased by 25.9 million USD, and iron ore and concentrate decreased by 15.5 million USD.
However, copper ore and concentrate increased by 1.1 billion USD, animal fur and hair increased by 42.6 million USD, and zinc ore and concentrate increased by 31.4 million USD.
