Mongolia's imports increased by 1.1% in the first seven months of this year: China is Mongolia's largest import partner

According to Mongolnews, in the first seven months of this year, the total value of goods and raw materials imported by Mongolia reached 6.4808 billion USD, an increase of 69.6 million USD compared to the same period last year, representing a 1.1% year-on-year growth.

The increase in import value was mainly due to increased imports of petroleum products, light and heavy trucks, machinery and equipment and their parts, as well as electrical equipment related to air and water transport.

In the food sector, Mongolia imported the following products during the same period:

- 73.1 million eggs

- 317,000 tons of rice

- 842,000 tons of vegetables

In addition, Mongolia also imported:

- 479,600 tons of gasoline

- 991,400 tons of diesel

- 14,724 vehicles

Regarding the countries of origin of imports, the main trading partners of Mongolia accounted for:

- China: 38.1%

- Russia: 23.6%

- Japan: 12.7%

- South Korea: 4.3%

- United States: 4.1%

- Germany: 2.5%

The above six countries accounted for 85.4% of Mongolia's total imports.
