Medvedev Warns: Finland's Abolition of Nuclear Weapons Ban Has Placed It on Russia's Nuclear Strike Target List

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, stated that Finland has been added to Russia's nuclear weapons target list following its removal of the ban on deploying nuclear weapons.

Medvedev wrote: "Finland has lifted its ban on importing nuclear weapons. What does this mean for the Finnish people? Nothing much: their country is now on Russia's nuclear weapons target list. Congratulations, Finland—you've finally reached the pinnacle of security!"

It is reported that the amendment to Finland's Atomic Energy Act came into effect on July 1st. The amendment removes previous restrictions prohibiting the import, manufacture, storage, and use of nuclear weapons within the country.
