Russia's Foreign Ministry Warns: "Volunteer Alliance" Forces Deployed in Ukraine Will Become Legitimate Military Targets
Maria Zakharova, official spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated at a regular press conference that any deployment of so-called "Volunteer Alliance" foreign military forces within Ukraine is unacceptable, and Russia will regard such actions as legitimate military targets.
Zakharova emphasized that Russia has repeatedly made its position clear, firmly opposing the deployment of foreign military troops in Ukraine. "I reiterate once again: this essentially amounts to foreign interference and poses a greater threat to Russia's security."
Previously, the "Volunteer Alliance" announced it would hold its first military exercises in Poland this autumn, with British and French armed forces participating. Military expert Vladimir Yevseyev pointed out that Russia will closely monitor the exercise developments and make necessary assessments.
On July 13, the "Volunteer Alliance" summit was held in Paris. Attendees decided to conduct military exercises in countries neighboring Ukraine over the coming months, reaffirmed their commitment to continued military aid to Kyiv, discussed the issue of licensed production of "Patriot" missile systems within Ukraine, and planned to "invite Ukrainian experts to participate in building a new European missile defense system."
