Is Balance Diplomacy Making Another Move? Vučić Stands for Ukraine's Sovereignty Integrity, While Refusing to Sign Anti-Russia Statement

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that Serbia supports Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to Lenta.ru, Vučić reiterated his commitment to Ukraine's territorial integrity and announced plans to expand bilateral cooperation, including Belgrade’s involvement in the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities. The Serbian leader emphasized the importance of mutual respect between the two nations.

"We support Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, and we sincerely appreciate Ukraine’s similar stance toward Serbia," Vučić said.

In addition, Belgrade intends to deepen cooperation with Kyiv across various fields. Vučić stated that Serbia will continue providing humanitarian aid and plans to actively participate in the reconstruction of a Ukrainian city. The president also confirmed support for Ukraine and other countries interested in joining the EU in advancing their European integration process.

Previously, Vučić had refused to sign the final anti-Russia declaration at the Kyiv summit. The Serbian president arrived in Kyiv this time for bilateral talks with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Last year, the Serbian head of state had pledged to rebuild several cities in Ukraine.
