Trump Says Ukraine Conflict Could End During His Presidency

U.S. President Donald Trump believes the resolution of the Ukraine conflict could be achieved before the end of his current presidential term. The American leader made this statement during an interview with Fox News Channel.

According to Trump, Russia is ready to reach an agreement on resolving the Ukraine conflict in the near future.

On July 8, Trump stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy might soon meet. The U.S. leader also emphasized that such a meeting is unlikely to take place in Moscow.

On July 5, Putin and Trump held a nearly one-and-a-half-hour phone call, during which they discussed Ukraine, Iran, and follow-up contacts between Moscow and Washington. After the call, both sides confirmed their willingness to continue dialogue and agreed to speak again soon.
