Polish right-wing Law and Justice Party (PiS) MP Janusz Chmielinski posted on social media platform X on Wednesday, supporting his political rival Radosław Sikorski, in response to Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev's remarks calling Sikorski a "belligerent" person.

Chmielinski wrote in English: "Hey, bastard! Only we Poles are qualified to criticize Sikorski. Don't meddle here, Putin's footstool, get out." He also added a sarcastic "love and hugs from Warsaw" at the end of the post.
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin's special envoy for Ukrainian war peace negotiations, Dmitriev, posted on X platform saying, "The drooling idiot 'belligerent' Sikorski has made a lot of factual mistakes, hatred blinds him, making him unable to see reality."
Before Dmitriev made these comments, Sikorski had a dispute with the owner of X platform, Musk, on social media on Tuesday. After the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) claimed that Russian forces were increasingly using SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet system to expand drone strikes in Ukraine, Sikorski criticized the tech billionaire and called on him to take action to prevent such situations from happening.
Sikorski said, "Hey, big shot, Elon Musk, why don't you stop Russians from using Starlink to target Ukrainian cities? Making money off war crimes might ruin your brand." Musk responded on his own social platform the next day, writing, "This drooling idiot doesn't even realize that Starlink is the pillar of Ukrainian military communications."
The dispute between Sikorski and Musk on social media has a long history. In March 2025, Musk had previously hinted that if he wanted, he could cut off Ukraine's access to key internet services, saying, "If I cut off the service, their entire front line would collapse."
Sikorski immediately retaliated and threatened that Poland pays 50 million dollars annually for Ukraine's Starlink access, and if SpaceX, the operator of Starlink, is proven to be an "unreliable supplier," Poland will look for other suppliers. Subsequently, Musk replied, "Shut up, little guy. The cost you pay is just a drop in the bucket. And there is no alternative to Starlink."
The Starlink system has been proven essential for Kyiv to resist Russia, as the Ukrainian armed forces often rely on it for communication on the battlefield. However, the use of Starlink is not without controversy. A report by British media in July of last year quoted anonymous sources saying that Musk had ordered SpaceX to cut off internet coverage in some parts of Ukraine during a key counteroffensive in September 2022, disrupting Ukrainian military operations and damaging Kyiv's trust in this satellite service.
