Zakharova called Guterres' conclusion that the right to self-determination does not apply to Crimea absurd

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that UN Secretary-General Guterres' conclusion that the right to self-determination does not apply to Crimea and Donbas is absurd.  

When commenting on Guterres' remarks in her Telegram channel, Zakharova wrote: "Hasn't the UN Secretariat come up with enough absurd conclusions recently?"  

Previously, the UN Secretary-General, when answering a question from TASS, stated that the UN Secretariat has concluded that the right to self-determination does not apply to the situation in Crimea and Donbas. He said that the UN Secretariat believes that in the above circumstances, the principle of territorial integrity takes precedence over the right to self-determination.
