The U.S. military claims successful strikes on multiple military targets in Iranian cities
The U.S. Central Command released a statement saying it successfully struck several military targets inside Iran, including Bushehr, Chabahar, Jask, Konarak, and Bandar Abbas.
On its official account on the X platform, the U.S. Central Command stated, “During a five-hour operation, the U.S. military successfully targeted multiple military sites across Iran, including Bushehr, Chabahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa Island, and Bandar Abbas.
The U.S. Central Command said that over 50,000 U.S. troops are currently deployed in the Middle East region. U.S. forces remain vigilant, lethal, and fully prepared for combat.
At around 2 a.m. on June 18, the United States and Iran signed a memorandum agreeing to end the ongoing conflict that had persisted since February 28. However, the U.S. launched another attack at around 2 a.m. on July 8. President Trump stated this was in response to Iran's interception of commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump warned that if such incidents occur again, the U.S. will intensify its strikes.
In response, Iran launched attacks against U.S. military infrastructure in the Middle East, particularly targeting locations within Kuwait. The Iranian Foreign Ministry claimed that the U.S. aggression seriously violated the agreed-upon accord.
