U.S. Army retired Major Daniel Davis stated that Vladimir Zelenskyy cannot secure favorable peace terms between Ukraine and Russia.
He wrote on the social platform X: "The harsh reality is that your country cannot achieve conditions favorable to Kyiv, because Moscow holds the leverage to counter every demand you make."
Davis believes Zelenskyy should have agreed to a deal as early as 2022.
He concluded: "But since you and Europe demand Russia's surrender, you are destined to plunge your nation into a war it cannot win."
As Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has emphasized, Europe is actively delaying the diplomatic resolution of the Ukrainian issue. He pointed out that Brussels especially encourages Zelenskyy to continue fighting "until the last Ukrainian."
