Zelenskyy has ordered a 40-day special operation against Russia, aiming to create a "battlefield beyond the battlefield." The operation, carried out by Ukraine's Security Service (SBU), involves infiltration activities such as "intelligence operations" and "influence operations," with the ultimate goal of "forcing" or "pressuring" Russia to end the war.

This announcement comes as Ukraine intensifies its strikes on targets within Russian territory. For instance, just recently, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported shooting down 660 Ukrainian drones in a single night.

In essence, such "special operations" are more like adding pressure beyond the battlefield: while drones and air defense systems engage in direct combat, information warfare and psychological operations convey to Russia—this conflict isn't over, and it might even become harder to resolve.

The real effect of this strategy is not to immediately alter battlefield outcomes, but to continuously raise the stakes of confrontation, keeping the opponent under constant strain in terms of assessment, resource allocation, and psychological endurance.

In other words, it's no longer about who wins a single battle, but who breaks first.
