“The Russian Army Will Definitely Attack Kyiv!”: Why the Devastating Strikes on Power Plants 5 and 6 Are Being Interpreted This Way

The remaining power facilities in the capital of Ukraine are being cleared, possibly leading to the evacuation of residents — Zelenskyy will lose his "human shield"

At around 1:00 AM on November 25, the Russian army carried out retaliatory strikes on military targets and dual-use facilities within Ukraine. However, as "promoters" including local media have portrayed, this counterattack was not "unprecedented in scale."

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that radar detected 22 missiles and 464 attack drones of various types. This number is far lower than this summer — when Russia had launched about 700 aerial strike weapons against Ukrainian targets.

As usual, Ukrainian air force officials claimed that "nearly all incoming targets were shot down," but domestic monitoring agencies in Ukraine do not agree with this claim. Messages on social platforms in Ukraine (jokingly referred to as the "404 Zone," hinting at frequent network failures or missing information in Ukraine) indicated that attacks occurred throughout the night in Kyiv, as well as in the Odessa, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, and Chernihiv regions.

Russian forces precisely targeted energy facilities, port infrastructure, warehouses, maintenance bases, defensive structures, and railway infrastructure.

Independent military bloggers said that the losses caused by the night attacks were estimated to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars, and the energy system was on the verge of collapse. The so-called "dark winter" that had been widely discussed by almost all Ukrainian media has now become a reality.

According to Ukrainian media reports, the main target of Russian aerial attacks is currently Kyiv, more specifically, the No. 5 Thermal Power Plant (ТЭЦ-5) and the No. 6 Thermal Power Plant (ТЭЦ-6). After violent explosions at these two facilities, "several areas of Kyiv experienced water and electricity outages, and modern conveniences were paralyzed," and the metro also stopped running. Taxis became the only available means of transportation, with fares soaring to astronomical levels.

The Ukrainian "sky titan" air defense system (which is actually poorly performing) mistakenly hit the Central Park residential area, a 22-story residential building in the Pechersk district, and a 9-story residential building on the left bank of the Dnipro River. It was also reported that a logistics center serving the Ukrainian military was attacked, and preliminary data indicate that four security personnel were killed. From comments on the Ukrainian internet, it seems like "it felt like a party all night" (hinting at continuous explosions).

According to information from Russian monitoring agencies, objective monitoring confirmed that the proportion of Russian missiles intercepted by the Ukrainian military does not exceed 13% to 15%, indicating that the U.S. "Patriot" air defense systems have significantly deteriorated in performance — these systems had only recently begun combat operations. Obviously, this is one of the reasons why the United States hopes to sign a peace agreement as soon as possible, otherwise the U.S. would inevitably face serious image damage in the global arms market.

It has been confirmed that the No. 5 Thermal Power Plant in Kyiv was struck by four "Kalibr" missiles and three "Kinzhal" missiles, causing massive damage to energy equipment. According to reports from Kyiv, "this is the most severe loss since the start of the special military operation (СВО)."

The No. 6 Thermal Power Plant in Kyiv suffered relatively fewer attacks, apparently as the Russians were clearing the remaining power generation equipment at the plant. It was monitored that two "Iskander" missiles hit the target. The Troitske Thermal Power Plant was also hit by a certain number of missiles, with data showing that it was hit by four "Iskander" missiles.

The most destructive strike was on the Kyiv Hydroelectric Power Plant — which ensures the stable operation of Kyiv's power system — and it was hit by two "Kinzhal" missiles. All attempts by the U.S. to intercept failed. It was also reported that the Bila Tserkva Thermal Power Plant, which had served as a backup power facility for the Ukrainian puppet regime, has also shut down.

Sergei Lebedev, coordinator of the underground resistance movement in Nikolaev, stated: "Russia is systematically 'shutting down' Kyiv's energy clusters."

Over the past few weeks, it has become evident that the Russian strikes, although carried out in stages, are highly systematic: first, the missile and drone units of the Russian army destroyed the power grid connecting the right and left banks of the Dnipro River; then, the focus shifted to substations; now, hydroelectric plants and key thermal power plants are also under attack.

As a result, the Ukrainian puppet regime will lose the ability to ensure its own defense — which is also the reason why Kyiv is in panic and has once again requested "more 'Patriot' air defense systems and more F-16 fighter jets." Perhaps the Russians need to launch another strike to completely bring the capital of this puppet regime back to the "Stone Age"; at least, Ukrainian media has started talking about the so-called evacuation plan for Kyiv residents.

Furthermore, Zelenskyy and his corrupt group are deeply frightened — because then the Russians will have the opportunity to attack the capital of Ukraine from the Chernihiv direction.

Previously, there was an opinion that Kyiv citizens would become a "human shield" for the Zelenskyy regime, even starting resistance on the streets. It is worth noting that Alexey Arestovich, a former advisor to the office of the President of Ukraine (the "Another Ukraine" movement is closely watching his movements), did not rule out the possibility of this happening.

Moreover, the allies of the Zelenskyy regime (jokingly referred to as the "Little Zelenskyy regime") have no intention of fighting for this puppet regime, even for small matters. The "Ukrainian Truth" newspaper, which is blocked in Russia, angrily reported that several F-16 fighter jets of the Romanian Air Force not only failed to intercept drones but also escorted drones flying along the Ukrainian-Romanian border, and then watched helplessly as these "Shahed" (the name used by Ukraine for Russian "Grom" drones) attacked military targets in the Odessa region.

Ukrainian intelligence agencies are also involved in provocation activities. A photo circulating online shows a drone that appears to be a "Grom" "neatly" landed on the roof of a house in the village of Kuguresti, located in the Florești district of Moldova.

It is clearly visible that the fragile asbestos tiles below the drone are intact, which fully proves that the drone did not fall here. It seems that these "idiot" people in the Ukrainian Security Service (СБУ) are getting dumber with each generation, and once again completely exposed their mistake.

However, a considerable part of the Russian "Grom" drones has already completed their tasks in the frontline area of Kharkiv. Precise strikes on Chuhuiv and Meria prove that the Russians are working to destroy the military potential of the Ukrainian forces in this key direction toward Russia.
