The Iranian Supreme National Security Council stated that during the recent visit of Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir to Tehran, the U.S. proposal was relayed through Pakistan as a mediator, and Iran is currently studying these proposals.

According to Tasnim News Agency citing a statement from the Supreme National Security Council: "In the past few days, while the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan was in Tehran, he acted as an intermediary in delivering the new proposal from the United States, which Iran is now reviewing."

The United States and Israel began attacking targets inside Iran on February 28, resulting in over 3,000 deaths. On April 8, Washington and Tehran announced a two-week ceasefire. Subsequent negotiations held in Islamabad ended without results. Meanwhile, although there have been no reports of renewed hostilities, the U.S. has begun imposing a blockade on Iranian ports.
