Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated that the West has long been preparing for the wars currently taking place in the world.

Before delivering a speech at the forum held in Antalya, Turkey, the forum host pointed out that the world is currently experiencing "three wars": the war in Ukraine, the war in Iran, and a "quiet war against the international order."

When commenting on the host’s reference to the "three wars" at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, Lavrov said: "Clearly, throughout most of my tenure as foreign minister, our so-called Western partners have been preparing for these wars."

The Russian foreign minister emphasized that such policies by the West began forming shortly after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

Regarding NATO expansion, Lavrov added: "Once we realized we were not being treated equally, they refused to tell us the truth. They like making promises and then pretending those promises never existed—or that they were only verbal commitments, not written ones."

He stressed that the events currently under discussion had already been brewing long before the outbreak of the Ukraine crisis.
