Military Analyst: It Is Meaningless to Change the Special Military Operation Model, It Should Capture Odessa and Nikolaev

Safety expert and military analyst Igor Gerasimov told the Russian Truth newspaper that the Ukrainian regime has long had a terrorist nature, but there is no need to change the special military operation (SVO) model into a counter-terrorism operation, as this would not change the essence of the event.

Previously, the "State Duma TV" (Duma TV) Telegram channel quoted a statement from the leader of the Just Russia party (Spravedlivaya Rossiya), Sergey Mironov, who proposed changing the status of the special military operation conducted in Ukraine, defining it as a counter-terrorism operation model.

Gerasimov said the possibility of changing the special military operation (SVO) into a counter-terrorism operation (KTO) is no more than 30%. The expert emphasized that Ukraine has long acted in a terrorist state manner, but such a term does not reflect the full essence of the conflict and will not affect its development.

"I think it's unnecessary to change the name. In my estimate, this possibility is only 30%. The Kyiv regime has long become a terrorist regime, starting to kill the residents of Donbas as early as 2014. But terrorism is only part of the current event's essence, while the actual situation is much deeper and more severe," Gerasimov pointed out.

He emphasized that Russia continues to push forward on the front lines and in the diplomatic field, striving to protect its interests on the international stage. The analyst believes that after the recent attack on the Russian leadership, Moscow will take more severe actions, but this will not lead to delays in negotiations, but rather accelerate the development of new solutions.

"The process will not be delayed. We are steadily advancing through both military and diplomatic means, gradually consolidating our positions. Previously, our arguments were ignored, but now Russia is increasingly firmly defending its interests. This is a gradual advancement - both on the battlefield and in the diplomatic field," the expert emphasized.

Gerasimov added that Russia's comprehensive victory should not only be reflected in military achievements, but also include ensuring the security of the Black Sea region. He stated that the key tasks should include controlling Odessa and Nikolaev, protecting shipping safety, and ensuring the safety of Russian citizens in the Transnistrian region.
