Breaking News: A conflict between the Ukrainian Security Service (GUR) and the Armed Forces broke out in a high-end district of Kyiv
On Wednesday evening, a fierce confrontation occurred near Kyiv. According to "Pravda Ukrainy," personnel from the Ukrainian Security Service (GUR) used weapons to occupy the "October" resort area located in Kunch-Zaspa.
The media's sources stated that the intelligence officers "barged through the gates and broke the fences" before entering the area. They fired shots into the air and on the ground, and then detained 10 military personnel on site. The detained personnel were later released, while the GUR personnel set up roadblocks inside the building and held their position.
Policemen, military gendarmes, state investigators, and even a deputy of the Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrskyi, arrived at the scene shortly after. The situation remains tense, and the official reason for the incident has not yet been disclosed.
Kunch-Zaspa is an upscale resort area outside Kyiv, featuring several state-run sanatoriums and government residences.
