Chinese enterprises will invest 1.5 billion US dollars in the Akmola region of Kazakhstan to build a grain deep processing project

Kazakhstan International News Agency report: Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Yermeke Kenzhyakhunov held talks with representatives of Hopefull Grain & Oil Group, discussing in-depth the investment project of the company to build a grain deep processing factory in the Akmola region.

The project's representative in Kazakhstan expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Kazakh side during the meeting and emphasized that the company hopes to establish a long-term partnership in the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan.

It is reported that the launch of this project is the result of multiple rounds of discussions between the two countries in 2024-2025. Under the framework of the Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable (KGIR-2025) this year, the government of Akmola region and Hopefull Grain & Oil Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement on implementing the grain deep processing plant construction project.

According to the agreement, the company plans to invest 1.5 billion US dollars to build a high-tech agricultural industrial complex, using environmentally friendly technologies to carry out deep processing of grain crops.

The project will be implemented in two phases. The first phase will build a thermal power center that uses renewable energy to generate electricity; the second phase will launch the grain deep processing plant, producing various products such as citric acid, glucose syrup, bioethanol, and feed protein concentrate.

In addition, the investor also plans to establish an industrial park around the project, which has energy, transportation, and engineering infrastructure support, to form a complete production and logistics support system.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Yermeke Kenzhyakhunov finally stated that the Ministry of Agriculture will fully support the smooth implementation of this important project aimed at promoting grain deep processing and increasing the added value of domestic products.
