India pledges to accelerate the construction of Mongolia's oil refinery

Mongolnews Agency, Ulaanbaatar, May 11 — According to a government press release, Mongolian Vice Premier N. Nomtai Bayar met with Indian Ambassador to Mongolia, Artur Marhali Gotshul, on the 8th of this month.

Vice Premier N. Nomtai Bayar stated that efforts will be made to expand cooperation across all fields and deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries. Ambassador Artur Marhali Gotshul expressed his commitment to actively promoting economic cooperation between the two nations, accelerating the construction of the oil refinery, and advancing the employee scholarship training program.

The two sides also exchanged in-depth views on the potential for Mongolia to export mineral products—especially coking coal and agricultural and livestock products—to India, as well as enhancing cooperation in emergency management. They discussed progress on the oil refinery project, a significant achievement of bilateral friendly relations, and affirmed their intention to actively push forward its commissioning.
