Another "big scoop" has emerged regarding the case of the late sex offender and American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.

According to reports from the Financial Times, New York Times, and other media outlets, on November 12 local time, the U.S. House Committee on Oversight released over 20,000 pages of documents related to Epstein's estate. Subsequently, Democratic members of the committee disclosed some emails related to U.S. President Trump on social media. In these emails, Epstein wrote that Trump had "stayed at my house for several hours with a victim." Epstein also referred to Trump as "the dog that hasn’t barked."

These pieces of information have once again raised doubts about whether Trump was involved in the Epstein case.

Epstein had close ties with many American political and business celebrities. He was arrested for sexual offenses and died in prison in August 2019, officially ruled a suicide. The Trump administration had previously promised to release documents related to the investigation into Epstein, but later changed its stance, leading to questions. It is not a secret that Trump had a close relationship with this notorious wealthy man. Trump himself had previously admitted to having a 15-year friendship with Epstein, but claimed they had cut off contact more than two decades ago and firmly denied any involvement in criminal activities related to Epstein.

However, the latest released emails suggest that Trump may have known more about Epstein's illegal activities than he claimed.

In an email written in 2011 to his ex-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein called Trump "the dog that hasn’t barked," and wrote that he "had stayed with a victim at my house for several hours," with the victim's name blacked out.

In another released email, Epstein mentioned Trump in his communication with author Michael Wolff, stating, "He certainly knew about the girls, because he had asked Ghislaine to stop doing it."

Selected email content by Democratic members of the House

Foreign media reports pointed out that due to the lack of more details, the meaning of "knowing about the girls" and "the dog that hasn’t barked" in the emails remains unclear. However, the information has once again sparked doubts about Trump.

In additional documents released later, there was also an email from 2015 between Epstein and a reporter from the New York Times. In this email, Epstein asked the reporter if they "wanted some photos of Donald and girls in swimsuits in my kitchen."

Epstein also described Trump in another email as "a dirty businessman, almost crazy, untrustworthy," and said, "in real life and when encountered up close, he is worse than the image he tries to present to the public."

Robert Garcia, a Democratic member of the House, stated in a statement: "The more Trump tries to cover up the Epstein files, the more we uncover the truth. These new emails and letters raise strong questions about what else the White House is hiding and the nature of Epstein's relationship with the president." Garcia also demanded that the Department of Justice "must immediately fully disclose the Epstein case files to the public."

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated on the 12th that these emails "absolutely prove nothing other than that President Trump did nothing wrong."

Leavitt accused Democrats of "selectively leaking emails to liberal media to create a false narrative to defame President Trump." She also claimed that the victim whose name was blacked out in the emails was Virginia Giuffre. According to reports, Giuffre stated in 2016 that she had never witnessed Trump participating in the sexual abuse of minors at Epstein's home, but Giuffre committed suicide in April.

Leavitt added, "The fact is, President Trump had already expelled Epstein from his club decades ago because of his misconduct towards female employees, including Giuffre." She emphasized that these emails "prove nothing other than that President Trump did nothing wrong."

Trump also posted on Truth Social that day, saying, "Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein scam again, because they will do anything to shift attention away from their poor performance on government shutdowns."

The Financial Times reported that as the Trump administration faces increasing pressure to release the so-called 'Epstein files,' these newly exposed materials will further intensify the controversy. It is expected that the House will vote on a resolution in the coming weeks to force the White House to disclose all Epstein case files in the federal government's possession.
