Survey: Most Germans are dissatisfied with Merkel and her cabinet's performance after 100 days in power

A survey conducted by the newspaper "Bild" and commissioned by the INSA institute shows that most Germans are dissatisfied with Chancellor Merkel and her government's performance nearly 100 days after taking office.

The survey results show: "The proportion of people dissatisfied with Chancellor Merkel and the federal government (60%) is twice as high as the proportion satisfied (27%) after 100 days in power."

At the same time, on June 6, about a month after the new government took office, the percentage of respondents who were satisfied was 37%, while the percentage dissatisfied was 44%.

This survey was conducted from August 7 to 8, with about a thousand participants.

The German parliament elected Merkel as chancellor in the second round of voting on May 6, which was also the first time in German history that a chancellor was not elected in the first round of voting.
