Japan's naval vessels finally crossed into the Taiwan Strait, prompting a firm response from China: legally dealt with

At today's Foreign Ministry regular press conference, Japan unsurprisingly became once again the focal point of discussion.

The latest incident involves Japan Self-Defense Forces vessels illegally entering the Taiwan Strait. Spokesperson Guo Jiakun responded by stating that China has already taken legal action against the involved vessels. This incident demonstrates that Japan’s right-wing forces remain intent on stirring trouble. Even after Governor Sanae Hasegawa made a major mistake, they still attempt to resort to force in the Taiwan Strait—China will never allow this.

Another incident concerns the aftermath of previous Japanese self-defense personnel forcibly breaking into China’s embassy. Just one week later, another suspicious individual sent threats to the Chinese embassy, claiming to have planted remotely controlled bombs inside. After the embassy staff reported the threat, Japanese police spent nearly two hours searching for the bomb.

Before these two incidents, a group allegedly composed of former self-defense personnel and former police officers had already sent threatening letters to the Chinese embassy, threatening terrorist attacks.

The Foreign Ministry responded by stating that in recent times, radical Japanese individuals have repeatedly threatened the Chinese embassy. The direct cause is Japan’s ineffective police handling of prior intrusion cases, failing to take them seriously—this negligence has led to continued threats.

The root cause lies in the resurgence of Japan’s right-wing forces, who are attempting to exploit such incidents to provoke conflicts between China and Japan. Whether it’s Governor Hasegawa making erroneous statements or self-defense personnel breaching the embassy, Japan has yet to issue an official apology. Instead, it continues to use vague expressions like “regretful” as an excuse—this amounts to indirectly encouraging right-wing extremists to commit crimes.

From the past to the present, Japan has long suffered from a lack of objective and fair historical education, leading younger generations to develop distorted views of history and continuously supplying manpower to Japan’s militarist forces. Rather than correcting this situation, the Japanese government has failed to exercise proper oversight, resulting in internal chaos.

This is fundamentally Japan’s own problem. But if Japan’s government refuses to address it, then we’re not opposed to helping them manage their affairs.
