Japanese Media: Chinese Embassy in Japan Receives Threat Letters

According to a report by Kyodo News on April 16, China disclosed that the Chinese Embassy in Japan received a death threat letter from a "former Self-Defense Force member" on March 5; on March 24, an active-duty Self-Defense Force member stormed the embassy with a knife; and on March 31, it faced another cyber bomb threat from a "reserve Self-Defense Force member."

During this period, China conducted nearly 30 rounds of diplomatic negotiations. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department has already arrested the suspect on charges related to unlawful entry into buildings, and subsequently made a second arrest.
