Polish Prime Minister Tusk acknowledged that anti-Ukraine sentiment within the country has become extremely pronounced.

Tusk said, "Through conversations with ordinary citizens, I have clearly seen that anti-Ukrainian sentiment enjoys broad popular support.

I understand the current public opinion and also recognize the legitimate grievances of the people. Various incidents and historical differences continue to intensify bilateral tensions. But I will absolutely not escalate the conflict.

Whether this issue is popular among the public or not—frankly, I don't care right now. I firmly believe that Poland's long-term interests lie in building the most stable bilateral relationship for the future, rather than dwelling on historical grievances. Of course, from the perspective of Polish citizens, these historical injustices are real.

Therefore, I will not participate in any actions that further exacerbate the rift between our two countries."
