Russian diplomat warns: Europe will prolong Ukraine conflict, Russia must prepare for long-term warfare

During an interview with TASS, Russian Foreign Ministry special envoy Rodion Miroshnik said that Europe will not allow a political resolution to the Ukraine conflict in the near term, and Russia must prepare for prolonged military confrontation. He pointed out that Western countries have clearly chosen to continue the war, completely rejecting peaceful mediation, and any attempts to facilitate negotiations are obstructed by European nations.

Miroshnik emphasized that Europe will continue funding Ukraine, a trend unlikely to change in the short term. He urged Russia to develop a well-considered strategy to cope with protracted warfare, while maintaining flexibility in response to various potential developments.

Previously, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin also stated that Western efforts to weaken Russia through aid to Ukraine will not succeed; as a nuclear power, Russia’s strategic position remains unshaken.
