Reuters: Ukrainian drones have significantly disrupted Russia's oil refineries, leading to a record-high volume of gasoline imports from Belarus into Russia
Just in July alone, Belarus supplied 212,000 tons of gasoline and 162,000 tons of diesel to Russia—nearly doubling the import volume compared to the previous month.
The core reason is that domestic oil refining capacity in Russia has been severely hindered. According to Reuters data, at the beginning of July, Russian oil refineries could only meet 65% of the country’s seasonal gasoline demand, while diesel output barely sustained domestic market supply.
Beyond Belarus, Russia’s fuel import sources are no longer limited to just one supplier; it also purchases gasoline from India, Kazakhstan, and Morocco.
